On the 22nd November 2021, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Frozen British Pensions held a virtual meeting to discuss the UK Government’s ‘frozen’ pensions policy.

The group were updated on key developments from the End Frozen Pensions campaign, including the shocking figures from their survey investigating the impact of frozen pensions on quality of life, which can be read here.

Afterwards, the APPG heard from 77-year-old Manchester-born pensioner Jon Goldman, who found his state pension frozen when he moved to Canada. His pension, which has remained at £80 for twelve years, has now lost a quarter of its value as it has depreciated over time.

The APPG also heard from John Duffy, Chair of the International Consortium of British Pensioners, and Ian Andexser, Chair of the Canadian Alliance of British Pensioners.
