Is not the freezing of our Pensions against section 2 of the Commonwealth Charter.
If so should Britain be removed for breaking it for any reason.
Your response to the above would be appreciated.

Discrimination is against the Commonwealth philosophy and should be brought up at the next meeting.

As the Conservatives are now a minority government (supported by the DUP) maybe there is a real chance to get change.
Sammy Wilson MP (DUP) tells me that the DUP has supported unfreezing pensions in the past and is not against lobbying the government on the issue again. Just because the DUP has signed a confidence supply agreement does not stop them having their own issues. Since so many opposition parties, the DUP and of course many Conservative members support unfreezing would that not give a majority in the house if a vote can be taken?
Sammy was one of two DUP members of the APPG in the last parliament and will hopefully rejoin this time around.

    Yes Robin
I certainly agree with your concise post and they all know that this “policy” is most barbaric and totally discriminatory against British born and raised Citizens.
Yes amazing that this (yet another one) plastic Government could find this 1 billion to keep them in Power and boy don’t they just love it making the most vulnerable people even poorer if this is possible.
However, the DUP stated we have our own policies and know again these promises of support for the frozen pensioner.
The trouble is we have been used to promises, promises time after time and a bit different to actually ACT on it and If a vote would entail, not doubt the 3 line Whipp would come in to play and the DUP would vote with the Government??
Can we just for ONCE put our own British born and raised Citizens first, just for once, instead of bending over backwards to our “foreign friends” ie the Foreign Aid of 13 billion and rising each year and all the benefits for all the illegals and other flooding in to the UK with ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONTRIBUTIONS,
Mind you the UK (what an apt name and never been United except voting for MP’s huge salary & expenditure rises each year and if there was a vote on a war, the Commons would be full to overflowing)
We have enough of our own scroungers who get everything in benefits.
However, as we all know the majority of these so- called public servants (excuse me while I cough) do not bother to show up at the House.
Our blood boils it really does and if possible we are getting angrier by the day and where I live Thailand and there are many other places, wherby many people have taken their own lives or are in poor health worrying about how they can survive today, let alone tomorrow.
What A Country we have become and frankly we have been totally divided for decades and politicians who only care about themselves.
